We,
strange power drunk
and scream:
"I think I would know myself"
just to hear the sound
of our own sweet lies
rattle around in empty words.

Yet,
if ever lucid
enough to realize
the nature of things
(so very vividly),
we'd sound a warning:
"New World Orphans,
Relationships formed in Zombie Apocalypse
not as strong as they appear."

Then go phantom
once more, years alone,
just to see those estranged
and fall in love all over.

Until eventually, always,
again we ebb
like tears in ocean swells
as swollen, hungry minds
claw for self-realization
and two more minutes
silence
(caught in vicious cycle).
