Push away the crowd,  Unwrap from cellophane,  Walking, heels pounding,  Into unknown unlit alleyway.   
Empty--  Heart, glass, head,  Nugatory pattern of brick,  Howl of stray cats,  Miles and miles from home.   
Fingers high into air,  Caressed by electric waves,  Stumble into the grass,  Negative space unbound.

Death of Coffee CultureTossing and turning  and trying to wake from  society’s sugar coma  while Allen is reaching out to me:  America is dead and we’re all  going down with her!

Women packed into booths  at café I refuse to frequent  for fear of coffeehouse culture  and bongo drums  singing out a funeral march  for the death of dilettantes.

One day, when you're too old to do much more than move your body softly to-and-fro in a white painted wicker rocking chair which still smells like your favorite summer and holds you like your very first love, you'll think to yourself "That Aniack, he certainly was a wise young man..." as whispers on the wind grow loud.
