The kiss I gave you,
Is the kiss you took,
Now I face the sun,
You're afraid to look.
Smile and relax,
Open up your eyes,
This place is beautiful.
Try to realize,
This world is pale,
I'm a demon, I'm a man,
I'm immortal, evanescent yet eternal,
A diamond in your hand.
The light filters down,
You're resting in bed,
Fantastical placid visage,
The images in my head.
I'm not perfect,
Nor will I ever claim to be,
But if you linger on,
You'll become a part of me.
